Eric Eliason, MD

Dr. Eric Eliason is a board-certified gastroenterologist with more than a decade of experience helping patients improve their digestive health. He believes in providing compassionate, patient-centered care, utilizing the latest advances in gastroenterology to guide treatment and prevention. Dr. Eliason earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2006. He went on to complete his internal medicine residency and gastroenterology/hepatology fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, where he developed a strong foundation in managing complex digestive and liver conditions.

He is board-certified by the American Board of Gastroenterology and continues to stay current through ongoing professional education and the Longitudinal Knowledge Assessment program. Before joining Intermountain Health in 2014, Dr. Eliason practiced at the University of Colorado with the Colorado Health Medical Group. Since then, he has been dedicated to serving patients throughout the Intermountain region, focusing on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of gastrointestinal disorders. Dr. Eliason prioritizes clear communication, thorough evaluation, and personalized care plans. His goal is to help every patient feel informed, comfortable, and confident in managing their health.
